Set up voicemail

Using voice

  1. Press and hold one finger on the touchpad. You will see the Trust Light flashing orange and hear a chime indicating Ai Mic is listening. 
  2. Say “Call voicemail."
  3. Release your finger from the touchpad. The Trust Light will stop flashing and you will hear a chime indicating Ai Mic is no longer listening. 
  4. The Trust Light will flash magenta when the phone begins ringing. 
  5. Follow along with the on-call instructions for setting up a voicemail. 
  6. When prompted to create your voicemail PIN, open your hand to begin using the Laser Ink Display.
  7. Push out your hand to see the menu and pick "dialpad."
  8. When you see a number on your hand, move your hand toward and away from you  – just like you would for entering your passcode – to enter the four digits of your new voicemail PIN. 
  9. When prompted, record a voicemail greeting.

Tip If you find the voicemail setup prompt times out before you can complete creating your voicemail PIN, trying pulling up the dialpad as soon as the on-call instructions begin (Step 5). 

Using Laser Ink

    1. Tap the touchpad with one finger to indicate you’d like to activate Laser Ink.
    2. Open your hand. You should see the Trust Light flashing white to indicate your Ai Pin is scanning for your hand.
    3. Once detected, the Laser Ink Display will project on your hand.
    4. Push out your hand. 
    5. Pick “contacts” and scroll to pick "Voicemail."
    6. The Trust Light will flash magenta when the phone begins ringing. 
    7. Follow along with the on-call instructions for setting up a voicemail. 
    8. When prompted to create your voicemail PIN, open your hand to begin using the Laser Ink Display. 
    9. When you see a number on your hand, move your hand toward and away from you  – just like you would for entering your passcode – to enter the four digits of your new voicemail PIN. 
    10. When prompted, record a voicemail greeting.

Check voicemail messages

Say “Call voicemail” or use the Laser Ink Display to pick "Voicemail" under Contacts.

Check voicemail messages without Ai Pin

  1. Call 1-805-MESSAGE (1-805-637-7243) from any phone.
  2. Enter your voicemail PIN.

Change your voicemail PIN

  1. Call 1 (805) 637-7243
  2. Press Option 5 
  3. Create new Voicemail PIN number 

Read a transcript of voicemail

Ai Pin automatically creates transcripts of voicemail messages and stores them as text messages. You can read them just as you would any text message.

You can hear a summary of a transcript by saying “Catch me up." See Using "Catch me up" for more information.
